Joy Adamson watercolours

If you are missing visiting Museums and Galleries during COVID, then it's time to view some of the world's greatest treasures virtually through Google Arts & Culture

I visited the National Museums of Kenya and found the beautiful collection of works by Joy Adamson (of Elsa the Lion fame). Joy was a conservationist as well as a highly regarded illustrator, painting beautiful watercolours of wildlife that came into her and George's care. Through her illustrations she documented Kenya's tribal communities and unique botanicals, which today are considered an important record of Kenya's culture and flora.

To view Joy's collection of works visit 'The Legacy of Joy Adamson' on Google Arts & Culture.
