I have always been a huge admirer of the luxurious safari lodges and camps by Singita; they set the bench mark a long time ago with their unique interpretation of luxury safari accommodation and experiences in Africa.
Last year Singita Sweni Lodge in Kruger National Park reinvented itself with a total make over that takes the beautiful interiors of this luxurious safari lodge to yet another level.
Taking its cues from the rich colour palette of its bush riverside position it has drawn on the iridescent sheen of bird feathers, butterfly wings and beetle shells to create a bold, new African context for contemporary design and architecture.
The lodge features a base of neutral tones to bring in light, gold and bronze ore, polished mud, recycled timbers, richly hued marble and splashes of vibrant colour. Bold pops of teal, emerald, citron, yellow and pale pink give a dramatic feel to the spaces.
