A unique art form of South Africa, the origins of wire art are most likely from the hills of rural Kwazulu-Natal. For many years due to a lack of resources to buy toys, youngsters fashioned their own out of discarded wire coat hangers. Crafted in Cape Town our geometric wire bowls are a contemporary interpretation of this original craft / art form.
- Recycled mild steel wire is cut, bent by hand and welded together to form the wire bowl.
- Edges are smoothed and the bowl is finished with a colour epoxy coating.
- Display the bowl as a table centre piece, on a console table or fill with fruit on the kitchen bench.
- Group a series of bowls together for an original wall display or turn upside down to create a pendant light fitting.DIMENSIONS
