SAMPLE / Only one available!
A unique art form of South Africa, the origins of wire art are most likely from rural northern Kwazulu-Natal. For many years, due to a lack of resources to buy proper toys, youngsters fashioned their own toys out of discarded wire coat hangers and tin cans.- Galvanised wire forms the three-dimensional shape of the vase.
- Glass beads are coiled around the frame to form the object.
- A beautifully handcrafted decorative vase. Perfect as a stand-alone piece on a small table or shelf; group together with other trinkets and treasures.
- Note, this vase does not have a perfectly flat base. By turning the object around you will find the spot where it sits straight (as in our pictures).
